We collect precise location data from your device when you:

  • Enable location services in the app
  • Search for nearby games
  • Create an event with a location

Location data is used exclusively to:

  • Show you games near your current location
  • Calculate distances to events
  • Enable location-based search and filtering

You can control location sharing through your device settings or disable it in the app preferences. Location data is stored securely and is not shared with other users except as part of event location information (which you control when creating events).

We automatically collect certain information when you use our app:

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
  • Usage data (features used, screens viewed, time spent)
  • Push notification tokens
  • IP address and network information
  • Crash reports and error logs

3.1 Supabase

3.2 Google Maps

3.3 Sentry (Error Tracking)

3.5 Expo Notifications

We use Expo's notification service to send push notifications. Your push token is stored securely and used only to deliver notifications you've requested.

3.6 LemonSqueezy (Payment Processing)

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • To protect rights: We may share information to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Authentication tokens are stored securely using device secure storage (expo-secure-store)
  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies
  • Regular security audits and updates

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have certain data protection rights:

  • Right to Rectification: You can correct inaccurate or incomplete data

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion request
  • Event data: Retained for 1 year after event completion, then anonymized
  • Location data: Not stored persistently; only used during active sessions
  • Reviews and ratings: Retained indefinitely unless deleted by you or the reviewed entity
  • Error logs and analytics: Retained for 90 days, then deleted

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Some information may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending you a notification if changes are significant

Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
