MatchDay is committed to protecting minors and maintaining a safe community. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any sexual content involving minors.
1. Age Restrictions
- Minimum age: MatchDay is intended for users 13+. In the European Economic Area (EEA), the minimum age is 16+.
- Not intended for children: The app is not directed to children and is not designed for use by people under the minimum age.
2. Reporting Mechanisms (In-App + Email)
2.1 In-app reporting
Users can report accounts, messages, images, or events directly in the app using the reporting tools available on relevant screens (for example, from a profile, message thread, or event).
2.2 Reporting child safety concerns
If you believe a user is a minor, is being targeted, or you see any suspected CSAE/CSAM-related behavior or content, please report it immediately using in-app reporting. You can also contact us by email at:
Child safety contact: safety@matchdaysports.app
2.3 What happens after a report
- Triage: We review reports and prioritize suspected CSAE/CSAM and grooming-related reports as urgent.
- Investigation: We assess the report and may review relevant content, account history, and associated activity to determine if our policies or laws may have been violated.
- Action: We take appropriate enforcement actions (see Section 4) and may preserve information as required for safety and legal compliance.
3. Content Moderation
We review reports using a combination of user reporting, manual review, and safety enforcement processes to identify and remove content or accounts that violate our policies.
- How we review reported content: Reported items are reviewed by our support/safety team based on severity and risk.
- Evidence handling: We may retain limited records related to reports to investigate and comply with legal obligations while minimizing exposure and access to sensitive content.
4. Enforcement Actions for Violations
If we determine that content or behavior violates our child safety standards, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Remove or restrict access to violating content
- Issue warnings and require corrective action
- Temporarily suspend accounts
- Permanently ban accounts
- Block or limit features (e.g., messaging) for accounts that present elevated safety risk
5. Compliance and Legal Reporting
MatchDay complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations. Where we become aware of suspected CSAE/CSAM or exploitation, we may report to appropriate regional or national authorities, and where applicable, relevant reporting organizations. We cooperate with lawful requests and investigations.
